Well, I'm in the business of not doing things like we've always done.
I seriously weighed the pros and cons, like, it's such a great way to get non-believers into our church to hear the gospel story and our children learn how to get up on stage and conquer the fear of being in front of an audience. But then there are things like, stress, busyness of the season, practice, practice & more practice, and even the dread being involved (both kids and parents alike).
Is there a better option?
Yep. After seeking God's direction I believe He wants us to use our time and resources differently. We will be working on a Christmas song over the next month to be sung in the service on December 15th. We may even try to learn 2 songs with a reading in between both songs. So, we still will be on stage, in front of an audience, we will still have speakers, the kids will still look stinkin' cute and sound awesome, and you can still invite friends and family to see your adorable child!
This sounds like a better option to me.
