Jesus Christ: Who Is Jesus and Why Does It Matter?
FOUR PART SERIES Wednesdays on October 1, 15, 22 & 29 6:45 - 8:15pm Type "who is Jesus" into Google and the results leave you overwhelmed and confused. If you pay attention to contemporary discussions about politics, poverty, sexuality/gender, immigration, etc. etc., you will hear people speaking for Jesus all the time. Just who is Jesus and what did he teach anyway? And, beyond that, why does it even matter? This seminar will take four sessions to look at the earliest statements made by and about Jesus. The goal is to let some of the real Jesus emerge out of all the babble as we consider what it means to "follow" him.
