The Entners - Mongolia

Presently filling in for a furloughing missionary couple, Christ and Nicole Pilet.

We were able to get a work visa here as English teacher and theology teaching....a missionary visa is difficult to get, usually need to get through a Mongolian registered organization ....

Although there is freedom of religion here, it is for the Mongolians and outsiders missionaries are not welcomed with open arms unless they have something to help the country and people, and even then sometimes they are denied visas

We are presently teaching English classes and Bible classes at our office classroom...this gives us the contacts as well as the time to meet people for evangelism and discipleship which we consider our primary goals although the two kinds of classes are helpful to the people

Started with EBC in 1968 and so thankful for their faithfulness for all of these years, presently on retirement funds but regular full time missionary status with ABWE

SETTLED & REJOICING! Updated: April 5, 2007

Dear Friends,

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PRAYING !!

We want you to know that we are well settled into our "new" apartment here in Mongolia, thanking the Lord for it and for your help in praying. We are enjoying the brightness of some newly-painted walls and newish cabinets.

We've also been able to host a number of people already. One was our first Bible study group this week. What a joy to meet with those who came to our study before and to see that they are continuing on with the Lord! Much of the month of March was spent in following up many of these new believers and seekers.

Another was a group of expat friends to enjoy a Good Friday meal and fellowship together as more missionaries are making Mongolia their place to serve. English classes will start again next week with new opportunities and new people to meet.

We rejoice with you in the joy of this season as we focus on all that is ours in Christ because of His resurrection! We're thankful for opportunities we've had to share this message with a number of people seeking the truth, including several Chinese who are working here.
