“You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.”

Dear Emmanuel Church Family and Friends,
What an incredible year it has been! We've had our mix of up and downs, but we want to pause and thank the Lord for these numbers this year in our pursuit of "Honoring God and Loving People into a Growing Relationship with Jesus Christ": 23 New Members, 6 Baptisms, 100+ kids participating in Awana, 180 kids impacted by Vacation Bible School, 85+ kids in our Sunday School, 575 participants in the Easter Egg Hunt, 140 participants in the 1st Annual Joseph T. Ruffner Memorial 5k Run/Walk, 28 guys participating in the Men's Leadership Training, 6 women on our Women's Leadership Task Force, 31 kids at Scioto Hills Christian Camp, 38 teens attending Velocity Youth Retreat, 48 women growing in Christ with one another at our Fall Women’s Retreat at Scioto Hills, and several new believers in Christ. Praise God! This year we also saw two dear sisters in Christ, Betty Wolf and Emily Smith, go home to be with the Lord.
We grew in the Word through several series: 1 Thessalonians in the spring, the Book of Ezekiel during the summer, The Prodigal Son in Luke 15, and Matthew 19 on Marriage and Biblical Sexuality as we saw the radical redefining of marriage by the U.S. Supreme Court in June and our call to uphold Biblical Marriage as God created it. Your gifts made it possible to upgrade our sound system in the Worship Center (Thank you!).
This year we were able to celebrate the life ministries of Rev. Bill Wheeler, Dr. Galen Smith and Stephen Hodson in April. We were able to host a number of our missionaries: Justin & Jenna Dodson, Sharon Rahilly, and Chad & Kimberly Deakyne. And we continue to be blessed by the Christ-honoring service of so many in our Emmanuel Family. Thank you so much!
Even though we have accomplished much together this past year, there is still much to be done as "Honoring God and Loving People into a Growing Relationship with Jesus Christ." To that end, the Elders want to invite you to help us finish the year strong and prepare ourselves for an exciting 2016 by prayerfully considering an end-of-year financial gift to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
While we have had a good year of giving, we would like to raise $20,000.00 by the end of the year for the following projects:
· External Stairwell (in place of spending out of Emergency Fund): $ 7,500.00
· Missions (Missions Opportunities Funds): $ 2,500.00
· Benevolent Need (a major project for a needy family in our Body): $ 10,000.00
Total: $ 20,000.00
You can make a donation by giving in our Sunday offerings, mailing a check to the church office, through Direct Pay with your Bank, or through your EasyTithe app. (Please note: in order for these gifts to be tax deductible they must be postmarked and/or given before December 31, 2015.).
We want you to remember that your gift funds a ministry that changes lives. So far in November we have seen at least two people come to faith in Christ through the ministry of our Church! Thank you for being a part of the Emmanuel Baptist Church family and helping us accomplish the vision God has given us.
Together in His service,
